Mintbet review – all you need to know about this UK bookmaker
Our Mintbet review covers everything there is to know about the online casino. We cover their bonus, rate their odds and markets, and more. Continue reading to learn more about what Mintbet can offer to your betting experience.
Welcome bonuses – 3/5
When it comes to welcome bonuses, Mintbet isn't too generous to its new players. Welcome offer exists, but in only covers casino bets. As for sports markets, there are no welcome bonuses at the time this Mintbet review is written (March 2018). But if you're a fan of casino games, you will be glad to hear the details of it.
100% casino welcome bonus
It's obvious that Mintbet is trying to attract as many new players through its casino section, and they've done a great job with their casino welcome offer. Once you sign up, you will get a 100% casino welcome bonus, which means that you can double up on your first deposit up to £/€ 500. This means that you get to play with up to £/€ 1000. You can also put your first deposit as low as £/€ 10 and get a total of £/€ 20 to play with.
No welcome bonus for sports markets
The only reason that we give such a low grade for welcome offers in our Mintbet review is that they are non-existent for sports markets. So if you're a fan of football or horse racing, you should probably start off on some other website. For example, Paddy Power has a £20 risk free bet as soon as you sign up.
Betting markets / available sports – 5/5
Mintbet is extremely versatile when it comes to betting markets. Not only that you can bet on various sporting events, but you can also enjoy a myriad of casino games, as well as virtual sports. Following is the list of available sports on Mintbet:
- Horse racing
- Rugby Union
- American football
- Ice hockey
Many slot games are available and there's also a live casino section where you can play roulette, blackjack, baccarat, and Texas Hold'em poker. Virtuals include football, greyhounds, cycling, horses, and motor racing.
Mintbet odds – 5/5
When it comes to odds, Mintbet doesn't fall far behind from some of its major competitors. For the recent football match between Stoke and Manchester City, the odds on the away team were 2/9 – identical to bet365, SkyBet, William Hill, etc, meaning that you would get £12.5 if you put £10 on Man. City. If you wanted to try your luck on Stoke, you would find that 15/1 odd was present on all the major bookmaker websites, and these odds were even better than on SkyBet, Paddy Power, and 888sports.
For other events, we found that the odds are pretty much identical to all the major sportsbooks or even better than some. It leaves us no option than to rate the odds with a perfect score in our Mintbet review.
Streaming on Mintbet – 1/5
Mintbet really disappoints when it comes to the live streaming option. There simply isn't one. The company claims that the live streaming option on their website is currently in development. But until then, if you wish to watch the events live, Mintbet is not the place for you.
Mintbet mobile app – 4/5
The Mintbet mobile app works great. You can bet on the same sports just like on your PC, the design is clean and elegant, and it's made easy and convenient for you to bet on the go.
When reading the previous paragraph, you might wonder why we only gave the app a 4/5 grade in our Mintbet review. The reason is that the app is only available for iOS. Although the Android app is non-existent, the company claims that it's currently in development.
Also, make sure to read our detailed article on the Mintbet mobile app if you wish to learn more.
Mintbet payment options – 3/5
As you can see, you can only deposit and withdraw from Mintbet using a credit or a debit card. If you are not based in the UK or Ireland, you will not be able to bet on this online sportsbook. This might change in the future but for now, no eWallet options are available.
Customer care – 3/5
- Live Chat
As soon as you enter the website you will be able to see the “Live Chat” button on the far right. This button is always present so if you have any questions you can contact their support team with a quick message. You can also do this via email available on the “contact us” page.
The company claims that all customers will be responded to within 48 hours, which is not a particularly quick response time. However, there is not enough information from other users on the average response time and whether the customer support is helpful or not.
There is no phone number available and the website is only for English speakers.
Our Verdict – 3/5
All the information above indicates that Mintbet is a good bookmaker for some, but terrible for others. If you are based in UK or Ireland and you like betting on casino games, you will be in for a treat. Great 100% welcome bonus for all casino games upon signing up, versatile markets, and good odds.
However, if you are from mainland Europe or any other part of the world, you won't be able to play on Mintbet simply because of the lack of payment options. Live streaming is also not available and the mobile app only works on Apple devices. These things may be added in the future, but for now, Mintbet gets the average score of 3/5.
Check the final verdict table below which concludes our Mintbet review.
